Afternoon

If you had a large house that was let to company that operating a care home from it, would that mean the rules of buy to let interest relief go out the window and you can get relief for the full interest costs?

The company that lets it operates it as a care home, fully registered with local authority and CQC.

As the owner, does that mean you can deduct the full interest from the mortgage, not the 20% credit rule.

Thanks.

I think you can offset the full cost if it's a commercial mortgage but not if it's a BTL mortgage.
