Looking for a Euro savings account, has anyone used Trade Republic? They're offering 3.5% at the moment which is the least crap option I've seen so far, certainly compared the 1.5% I get with ABN AMRO.

Its a very, very high rate - IF its open / instant access.

They don't pay for a credit rating - although are EU depositor scheme backed to EUR100k.

Trade Republic media stinks (I'm surprised they've been allowed to run the ECB deposit claim), but BaFIN gave em a licence...

I had a look at them recently but after a few youtube reviews decided it was not for me. They re invest your money at one of 4 banks, 2 in Ireland and 2 in Germany so do not hold it themselves. You also cannot specify which of these banks your money should go to. This raises the question that if you already have 100,000 € invested with one if these banks are these new funds via Trade republic also protected?
As I am in Germany I managed to get 3,45% fixed for one year with the Opel Bank but for that you need a Germany tax code which means being registered in Germany.
