I've accepted an offer on my place, and put one in on another (waiting to hear the outcome).

In the last 12 months i had an appointment with the local Barclays branch, pushing Woolich mortgages, and they gave me an AIP.

I didn't take it any further at the time, as the house search went on a back burner, but now i realise i need to act pretty sharpish. Someone recommended and online broker called London & Country, can you guys recommend these or any others?

Moving back to UK in a few months so might have a chat before to see what we can do, if anything before I return as a resident to get my house purchase sorted.

Of course you could ask (real) friends and family for their recommendations.

Just a thought.

Sarnie! He worked late into Friday night for me, so he could get my application in to reserve the rate he found. Now that's what I call service!

Thoroughly recommended. smile
