Hi
Can someone explain to me how the Google share split works? It seems to me when I look at my online trading account my £1000 of Google shares is now worth £500?
Is the process complete and I have to take the spilt on the chin or have I more stock to come or a dividend on its way?
I know I should have a better understanding of this stuff! Hoping the web has yet to update or something! Otherwise I've just lost a chunk of cash!

Basically the shares were split into voting shares (class A) and those with non voting rights (class C)
So assuming you had 500 google shares you should as of today have 500 GOOG shares (class C), although half the valve and another 500 GOOGL shares (class A)
In theory together they should add up to the same original value.
In the event that the non voting shares end up lower than the class A shares by this time next year, Google have kindly agreed to pay you a portion of the difference
