Dumb question - exchange rates

I know I'm asking the bleeding obvious, but for some reason I'm having a mental block over this.

If someone gives you an exchange rate of 1.3 and you want to convert euro into £ then it is quite simply a case of dividing the euro figure by 1.3, yes?
