Stocks and shares ISAs?
Discussion
I have a cash ISA that's filled every year, and am about to buy a house. I need to spread our my money a little though so it's not all in the house. Therefore i'm thinking the easy first option for some of it is into a s&s ISA.
Which are the best options to go for? (i am clearly new to all this, so don't want anything that involves me doing a lot of the management myself).

Matt,
The best option would probably be to remain financially agile and light on your feet for a while. If you're just buying, do you want money tied up? It might be needed as you become established in your new home. This year, in investment terms, we will see large rebounds of volatility.. high swings of ups and downs (imo).
If you have just moved in, you probably want a higher degree of certainty over your money? Over the long term, waiting a while or slowly feeding money into the investment market from savings (pound cost averaging) might work well for you.
If you do want a cheap and cheerful ISA, and if you're just starting, look for cheap trackers. The are sound swines out there mind; not all trackers are equal. Apologies if you have already considered that, I don't mean to patronise.
