I am looking for an independent financial advisor for sickness and/or death insurance and pensions. Can anyone recommend someone in the Cardiff (South Wales) area?

I can tell you one to avoid; he bought my cousin's business and then refused to honour the liabilities.

I've dealt with a guy called Gordon Hesp in the past, he's a Geordie and a very pleasant honest bloke to deal with.

Also dealt with another guy at the same company and he was good too, think the company is called think positive.

Financial Advisers are nothing more than insurance and investment sales people and there are good and bad. A lot of people take everything they say as gospel, which is quite ironic when so many of them are utterly potless. The fact that they get the title of 'Adviser' bestowed upon them has always slightly wound me up, when I have seen the muddle that their advice has got some clueless but hard working folk into.
