I've just done my 2012/13 return and blow me I am owed money!

Anyone got any experience of how long the refund might take to appear in my account please?

I think it's about 2-3 weeks, once someone looks over your storybook, scratches their chin, and decides they can't be bothered arguing.

Ah right - OK then.

So a refund means a check over does it?

Well, from the time between submitting it and getting the money back, I guess they are flicked through by someone before being rubber stamped and processed.

I'd imagine it isn't more than a cursory glance over to see if anything needs special attention though.

Assuming you did your return online and entered your bank details, your refund will be in your account approx 5 - 7 working days after submission.

If you submitted a paper return, it could be anything from 2 weeks to 3 months!

Not really - I would imagine the size of the refund and any unusual data on the Return would be relevant.

Thousands of refunds are issued every year without any problems.

Btw I just received mine into my bank account last week, for the second year running. The reason was that I was still operating under a K code despite giving up my company car last May smile
