hi all,

3 c/cards attempted in the wifes name, they have not succeeded (probably a few other things didn't add up). The companies in question must be holding the accounts, sort codes, telephone numbers and real addresses of the fraudsters.

Do they actually do something with it?? I'm not so sure....?

If your wife has reported the fraud to the companies where the false applications have been made they should have entered this information into a central database which is shared between financial institutions.

It'll mean any future applications fraudulent or genuine should flagged up for futher checks.

For more information look at http://www.cifas.org.uk/ and also try get into contact with the companies where the applications were made.
