I have a friend who declared herself bankrupt and got discharged last November (mainly loans and credit cards)

He says the creditors showing up on her credit report saying "Default"....Is this supposed to be wiped off when she got made bankrupt?

Or am i assuming that ALL debts will have to stay "default" on the credit report for 6 years before its wiped off completely?

Needs more info on this.....

What a silly girl, I know...

Advice would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks
SG

She will get nothing in the way of credit cards, mortgages or anything else for YEARS.

She's wasting her time.

Soovy...

YEARS?? :-)

As far as I am aware that the bankruptcy status will stay on her credit report for 6 years.....Once 6 years is gone, then she can make a clean break and can apply again - I hope she gets SENSIBLE this time!! :-)

"Years" could mean 6 years, couldn't it.
