Hi folks

I currently have £50k sitting in a savings account paying next to nothing in interest. The money is intended as a deposit for my daughter's house so I need to be able to access it at short notice (about 1 month).

Any suggestions as to the best place to invest?

If you need it at short notice you should leave it on deposit. Investing is for those with a 5 year+ time horizon. Just get the best rate of interest you can in the meantime and don't forget ot use your Cash ISA allowance to save some tax on the interest.

Sorry for the late reply.

Thanks very much for the offer. Unfortunately I've lent it to a family friend for 3 months @0% pcm rofl

Out of interest that's a stonking Rate you're offering. May I ask how "secured" it is? I'm guessing it's not covered by the FSCS smile

You have a first charge on a property we buy. For added security we only purchase properties with at least 30% discount from today`s value.
We buy, improve then sell on.
