Selling current house, joint mortgage, other party out of UK

Evening all,
Just looking for some advice and guidance with my current situation.
Currently have my house on the market due to my relationship failing, this was mortgaged with my ex partner and as such is a joint mortgage.
Ex partner is now out of the UK and will not be back for some time.
How do I go about selling the house? Legal documents etc? Does the legal system now accept electronic signed documents etc? ( can see no other way of getting paperwork signed)
When do I get said ex partner to sign to say its "ok" to sell the house. Only have it on an email and verbally before she left.
