The PH search facility is down, so apologies if this has been discussed before.

I'm about to set up a business account and which will be managed online. Can anyone recommend which bank has the easiest interface, as that will be the basis for making a choice between banks.

Thanks in advance.

Lloyds TSB is pretty clear and intuitive, plus you don't need one of those stupid calculator things

My vote is for Halifax. You can have all the different types of accounts (current, savings, ISA) and services (mortgage, loan and credit card) on one page do you can see what's what an where and transfer immediately between them.

You can also rename the accounts so you know hat each is for (yes it's a gimmick but I like it). The only thing that does mildly irritate me now, as it's new, is the über security settings they have for setting up a new standing order to an external account - it involves an automated phone call to you to confirm it is correct.

I too don't like these pin card things that Barclays and HSBC have.

Thanks for the feedback both. Much appreciated, and definitely helps narrow things down.

First direct. I moved from nationwide as soon as they issued one of them stupid card/ pin reader things. Took me 15 minutes to pay a gas bill, I promptly smashed it with a hammer and moved the next day.
