Converting earnings out of Euros?

As a 'quick' one;

My brother is employed offshore (superyacht officer) and currently gets paid in Euros. He requested payment in another currency when he signed his new contact, but not possible (owner earns in Euros).

So the money enters his offshore account each month.

I've told him that he really needs to be looking at what he does with it, as my view is that leaving it all as Euros is not the best move at the moment.

Anyone got any input as to what he could / should be doing? (i.e. who he should be speaking to (FX trader? IFA?))

I use a euro account and move money via ukforex which takes a few days, but not too long. Choose your local Euro account carefully (ING give free intl transfers under €50k) whereas most charge for even a €1000 transfer
