Whirlpool is my latest gamble. Rumour of a bosch takeover. Jumped 20% or so on that news. I waited for a wee pull back so in at $99. Hoping it will do the usual a couple of jumps on increased offers that get refused and then accepted.
Looks promising. I’m in a very little at $102. If a sale doesn’t happen at least it appears to be a good dividend payer.

Nike worth a look as a long-term bet, given the recent slump?

Down 21% this week (biggest one day loss in its history) but has levelled out.

I think the worry will be that niche brands continue to eat their market share.

Nike pulled out of a lot of small/indy sports shops and several department stores and focussed on Direct sales and own stores. This hasn't helped them lately as effectively other brands have filled those channels. Throw the Israel boycott into the mix too and maybe its a bigger problem.

Its the gambling thread, but I am not sure this is a bet I'd take.

Losing an absolute packet but seems that Quantumscape had some good news today.

Volkswagen, QuantumScape strike deal on solid-state batteries

I have bought a bit more today (perhaps very foolishly).

SCLP (Scancell) BioTech with 4 platforms focused on Cancer (immunotherapy), topped up this week again, invested in 2012. A bright future awaits..

I haven't topped up, so am well in the red. Bought the recent dip on Enphase.

Lots of red on my other green / EV plays. 20%/day helps but need quite a lot of those before thinking about breaking even.

Ditto. The fanfare of change turned out to be a wet fart. I didn't go mad so on-paper losses are offset by the gains on the dirty ogres at Shell and BP, which cough up decent divs, too.

I threw quite a bit at BP for the dividend. Still wish I sold when it went over £5 smile

This week they had a profit warning and the thought crossed my mind that buying more may not be a terrible idea (although I didn't).

Yes, before Moditope announcement. Plenty funding/dilution since, Biotech is an expensive sport, but 24/25 should be a forced inflection point. Time will tell.

Account are late being filed, so should be only temporary.

Chat is complications on valuing their mined materials, plausible.

A sale less so!

been buying a share herer and there and i plan on building up a decent size in the 70s and especially if it goes to the 60s.

Football just finished, olympics this year nearly at covid low. im discounting the crazy after covid rise but looking at the pre covid high as a good target, ie end of 2019.

I'm currently 48/52% down, but the little ups are gratefully received!
