Is National Grid worth a punt now the rights issue has been done and the price hasn't slumped?
I'm thinking about taking advantage of the current low price.
The energy companies must be loving this sI'm thinking about taking advantage of the current low price.

Up another 3/4% today. I bought in march @$943 today they’re $1296 equivalent there’s been a 10:1 share split.in effect it’s up $350 a share since I bought on 24/3. Inevitable push towards $150 a share over next few weeks
My average price is $20, or $200 in old money. Up another 3/4% today. I bought in march @$943 today they’re $1296 equivalent there’s been a 10:1 share split.in effect it’s up $350 a share since I bought on 24/3. Inevitable push towards $150 a share over next few weeks
I've seen some people have made millions from Nvidia. Some guy had put a few thousand in and bought them at $12 years ago and held.

Even if you only managed 10 shares pre split that’s now 100 shares x £129 that’s now worth £12900. Hope you got them in your ISA

Have stuck by Rolls when they were below a quid and bought in again when they asked for funding I thought I was an investment genius when I sold it all for 100% up on the trade…. Out at 170ish.
Not feeling so happy now. Still a win is a win.

To be fair, that paid for half an exige.

They were that price in mid-May too - I've been playing with Super Micro and their price overtook Nvidia then but I decided to hang on to SMCI. Big (well, I'm playing with US holiday spending money, so not that big) mistake! But the extra spending money would have been nice.Up another 3/4% today. UK big cap shares to be fair just never 10x and this one did from its low.
Loving Rolls Royce at the minute with an average of 96p and in my ISA too.
My main reason for buying in is the potential of SMR.
Which ever future electricity generation solution we end up with nuclear is the one to get us there in the medium term to balance out renewables.
Talk as well of a potential reentry into the narrow body market for engines and servicing in the next generation of aircraft towards the end of the decade.

A few months ago I thought I would start building a position in Yougov....election year (date hadn't been announced then) in the UK and US thought would be a good share to have.
So far I'm down 48%! It really plummeted this morning, so I've topped up.

i was in at 79p and sold it all 160 more than double what a genius... lol

Got into RR at 104p and still there. My best ever buy. UK big cap shares to be fair just never 10x and this one did from its low.
My new strategy is to wait for a big organisation to announce something awful and buy. Then just sit and wait.
It's paid off most times so far. All my small get rich quick schemes have failed because I just don't do the homework.

They did a 10-1 share split or something. So yeah, I am still 95% down
.
I will go back to pretending they don't exist and that I never invested at $11 per share.. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Not sure of the point, but I wonder how long before they go back to under $1 despite the split.
