Last month I put £50k of my pension lump sum into Premium Bonds.
£1100 in the first draw - happy with that!

Guessing that’s it for the year though….

Just one more draw for me, hoping for big things in July.
£150 so pretty much par.

Now the nervous wait between requesting the withdrawal and the funds clearing into my nominated account.

furious

We've got a combined £95K held for about 6 years and never had anything close to that in a month. I think about £600 was our biggest ever monthly scoop.

£200 this month combined. Utter crap.

£150 for me on maximum holdings.

2024 so far = £1125

12 month running total = £1775 or 3.5% return.

PBs have been pretty poor for me recently.

12 month rolling average is 2.34% which is not terrible in isolation, as I'm a 45% tax payer. However, annualising the last 3 and 6 months shows 0.57% and 1.2% respectively which is pretty shocking.

I've been slowly divesting from max holdings, withdrawing £5k a month to drip feed into an alternative savings option.

This month, £35k, and nothing at all.

I've decided to withdraw the balance.

Nothing for me this month. First dry month this year I think.

Mrs 595 won £50, and my mum won a few hundred, which she split between her grandchildren- £50 each

Once again my wife got double what I got - £150 for me, £300 for her. Quite remarkable how often that happens. Both max holdings.

After a couple months of nothing on 10k i withdrew to chuck in my Chase saver @5.1%
Deferred until the draw this month and won 2x £25. left £500 in there to keep the account ticking over.

Wife won nothing on max holding, and I won £150 on max holding.
According to MSE calculator, my wife is unlucky, having only won £675 since January, and I'm very lucky, having won £1525 in the same timescale.
I guess that means we have average luck between us!
