Used Sarnie in 2017 and no regrets at all, fantastic service... had just started to think about remortgage as our 2 yr fixed rate was up, and bang, email in the inbox from the man himself.

...I'll read it this week I promise smile

Sarnie, would you mind if I dropped you a message? Looking at getting my first house with the other half and its a minefield! Won't be until late next year that we'll be in a position to buy, however.

I've heard that anyone doing their mortgage with Sarnie gets to borrow his car whenever they want.

Hi Sarnie.

We're hopefully sorting out our mortgage in the next week or so; our LTV is around 62%, borrowing £165K. We don't really have any special circumstances; although my job is somewhat seasonal. It's a joint mortgage with my wife; our income is only around £45k a year so borrowing around 4 times. We've had a 'promise' from Halifax already, before we had definite figures, but we are going back Saturday now we've had offers accepted.

Is it worth sending you an email with roughly what we are looking at or at this LTV/size of mortgage is it not worth the effort/time (for both of us)? If it's worth it, should I wait to see what Halifax offer and then see if you can beat it? What details would you need? I may get my wife to email..

Cheers.

Feel free to drop me a mail, no problem at all...…..we are whole of market so have access to Halifax and all other high street lenders as well as numerous lenders who are broker only that often offer keen rates and don't appear on comparison sites...….

I can think of better things to do with my time than spending 2 hours sat in a branch of Halifax on my day off smile

Thank you; I'll try to get some details over to you before the weekend. Sadly I think the 2 hours at Halifax is inevitable!

I would if I were you. Sarnie is the mortgage equivalent of L'Oreal.

He's worth it.

A bit of a bump to this thread, but I have to say many thanks to Liam for his help with arranging a mortgage for my daughter.

First time buyer of a new build property, so has taken since February from Liams first advice, but everything mortgage wise was a very easy transaction, and she has completed and moved in today.

She will be in touch Liam to arrange a day in your car.;)
