I thought I would start a thread that's in readiness for any of us going to stay up through the night (or some of it anyway) to see how the election is going, from exit poll results to any big shocks that may come up.

I have several bottles of whisky on standby should the SNP properly fall over.

Could be a fun (if long) night.

Woo, sticky thread.

Looking at that link of announcement times. 2am could be fun with Dundee.

No need for that, the exit polls will tell you more or less what's what barring the nailbiters as soon as the polls close. The declarations are just for watching people deliver concession speeches.
Yeah same as when Boris won their surprise majority against Corbyn, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth outside bbc house.

I suspect there will be cheering and crowing the "right" party won this tine

I'm charging the iPad to have bbc on live on player while I replay borderlands on pc to pass the time, got some Crisps, Highland park single malt and probably cut off at 2am as wife's away and it's a weekend of me and the 4 year old who hates when either of us is away so will be emotional rollercoaster smile

What's also good is this allows Starmer to tell the SNP to poke it, he doesn't need any help

Just awake again, dissaointed my seat remained SNP with the fat toad Leadbitter, but only 999 votes in it.

The SNP have had a shake and hopefully will carry on this downward momentum into 2026.

Seems a night of tory votes into reform and voter apathy did for the tories.

Voter apathy? It's Starmageddon!
Voter apathy as in a low turnout and little vote increase for labour but big downturn on tory vote share and swing to reform.

It's a landslide but not from an increased voter turnout IYSWIM
