The Media and the armed forces cuts

1000 army jobs and 150 of those losses coming from the Gurkhas...

So why is the media making it sound like all 1000 are coming from them?

I use Google News for a quick scan of the dailys and each one was focussed on how they would be the ones to lose their jobs - no mention about any other regiment!

Just look at the Joanna Lumley/Gurkha pensions thing.

All in all, 6000 people from 100000 isn't that many. Especially considering if we left it to natural wastage, 40000 would be gone by 2015 anyway...
