'Attack left young girl infected with HIV'

no complaints from me *

  • as long as he got the right people

Definitely, you would have though the rape of a Blue Bulls players daughter (and the fact due to it she contracted HIV) would have been news worthy........not even mention anywhere.

1:3 women are raped in South Africa, something they don't mention on the current crop holidays in South Africa adverts.

Will be waiting to hear the full facts but, provided he got the right people, I would have no problem if the Police lost all the evidence they have against him. Doubt they will though because from what I hear of SA law enforcement there are plenty in the force who receive more than one income and they seem to be incapable of keeping order.

I have a big problem with rape as a crime. I can see why many, many crimes are committed for all sorts of reasons but in this day and age where sex is so freely available either with a few well chosen words or a few pennies spent rape is nothing other than a disgusting primeval throwback. The perpetrators of which are on the same level as kiddie fiddlers in my book; that is not to down grade the latter but to emphasise how low and how much I despise the former.

As above,I have no sympathy for the thugs, they deserve the pay-back they got and worse (provided it was the right ones).

Unfortunately, because of good 'ol SA politics,I dont reckon he'll get any leniancy, and will get sent down hard even with these tragic circumstances.

I trust he has been arrested so that they can keep him contained until they get his medal made?

something not quite right about the story of gang rape of his daughter. (how surprising the DM has its facts wrong)

http://www.iol.co.za/news/south-africa/kwazulu-nat...

"a man fitting the axe-man’s description had been seen at a local service station this week.

“He told a group of men that he would kill 100 men if he could.”

Good spot. I get where the dad is coming from though. He was probably working on the odds that at least one of those he killed had raped or would rape so was worth it.

His daughter has been given in effect a death sentence.

I'm sure the SA police's powers of deduction will ensure that the right man is convicted;

"...the crimes he was committing, it seems to me that he must be psychotic. But he drives a car, and that means he must have some rational thought."

It staggers me that someone could possibly bring race into this but in any event I am pretty sure his daughther would have noticed whether her attackers were black or white...... And notice the phrase "black victims" ?!?

How would the police know if he got the "right people"?

And do you think rapists do it because they cant get sex?

Why?? Its a simple fact. How else do you phrase it and of course how is it racist. Its also racist therefore to say that most sa rugby players are white.

Black people in south africa commit the majority of crime by quite a large margin. Calling it racist is silly. Its like saying its wrong to call a stick a stick.

It's wrong, but I have an image of him with the head under his arm, dodging through crowded streets.

Well done that man if true.

Although, you do have to hope that the daughter didn't make up a story to explain how she caught HIV.
