It doesn't say he's not. Unless he has a cast iron alibi, he's at the very least "a person of interest".

Final sentence sounds a little ominous:

A spokeswoman said: "We are aware of a previous assault, but we are very much focusing on the here and now. It is not a focus of the investigation at the moment."

Would seem to imply that someone within the family group assualted her at some point in the past?

The sentence before said she got beaten up in a club toilet in 2008. Although frankly that happens so often that it doesn't really matter.

They've not found a body - so there's nobody to to suspect of murder. They will have asked him where he was at 3am though.

Just said on the BEEB that her phone was triangulated to a forest 12 miles from home early in the morning.

Not looking good.

According to the news it seems that her last recorded location given from her mobile phone was in some woods 12 miles from her home.

That certainly doesn't sound good frown

Would that not seem to steer you in the direction of a minicab driver? Or someone who offered to drive her home?

Anyway. I'm sure we all wish the very best for her and her family and a swift resolution to this.

Don't envy the police on the search, Savernake Forest is absolutely huge.

With the number of people now on PH it would be virtually impossible to discuss anything if we were barred by the proximity of a PHer to the story. Seem to recall there was a PHer close to the boyfriend of the girl killed in Bristol, where of course the boyfriend has not been charged with murder, someone else has.

Feel free to carry on.

I watched with interest the Bristol discussion, and have a good ability to seperate fact from speculation.

Best wishes

Being local we started hearing about this on Sunday. Amazing how one person has so many random connections, schoolfriends, colleagues, family, people who work with them.

I sincerely hope she's OK!

Considering she was in Old Town and then in Savernake - it's a blooming strange place to be going as it's not really near anywhere.

And I get lost there in broad daylight.

Hope she's found safe and sound smile
