Well not quite but only the daily mail paint the reintroduction of these wonderful creatures as bad

I know the loss of lambs cost money and is a nuisance to farmers, but these birds of prey are stunning. I'm on the birds side this time. It's not like they are foxes who are a pest and kill indiscriminately. They kill what they need and leave.

Surely the question on every Daily Mail reader's lips is, "Are these Eagles illegal immigrants mooching off the taxpayer?"

And if they're illegal who picks up the vet's bill?

So let the farmers claim a subsidy from the RSPB.

If a few dead lambs = having these magnificent birds flying in the UK, then sorry Larry but you is dead.

That's the only reason those eagles come here you know - for all that free veterinarian care.

Scroungers.

So is a human using a shotgun to protect his herd. That said I love birds of prey and if a few sheep are lost then I'm not too bothered. We've got loads of sheep.

This.

I live in the Derwent valley. Spotting Red kites is part of the reason I walk the dog so much.

Lambs are ten-a-penny anyway!

I would be concerned about them bringing in diseases that our indigenous birds and animals had no natural immunity from. They would be ill eagle immigrants.
