Indeed at costs to the poor taxpayer as well, load of bks, just chuck him out and be done with it. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

What crime would that be? Annoying the Americans?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that he had already been cleared of this crime?

If he's got any brains (& I'm sure he has.) he has a juicy few things tucked up his sleeve that he has not put on the site for just such an emergency as this.

Next few weeks could be interesting if he has documents that prove a few things about certain ex-prime ministers.....

Wikileaks provided an "Insurance" torrent which is currently encrypted - the idea is that should anyhing happen to him then the key will be released.

He said that he had some 'insurances' held back against the Murdoch empire. Lets now see if his bluff has been called.

It that case his life is going to become like a real life spy movie. I wonder how far they will go to get the 'keycode' out of him. As Sarah Palin wants him executed for treason, I'm guessing it depends what might be in there. I wouldn't have thought Obama has too much to worry about but I'm willing Bush, Blair and possibly even Brown have reason to be concerned.

Although it has to be said that most of the stuff he has revealed so far wasn't exactly earth shattering.

Agreed, slightly embarrassing at worst from what I've seen.

I wonder how Anonymous will respond to this, especially if Julian Assange is sent to prison or extradited to the US.

The insurance file supposedly holds names and locations for spies, informants and other government officials. There is also the matter of some damning information relating to a large US bank, which as of yet, has not been released.

Also, Anonymous could do some real damage to target sites and servers. See the HBGary/Aaron Barr saga as an example!

Surely Treason can only be commited against your own country?

I agree that most of the "revelations" that have been released so far are a bit lame.

You're forgetting that Sarah Palin is mentally retarded.
