"He said he had not taken drugs while at Oxford University, saying: "I was a bit square."

Mr Miliband also said he had not been an under-age drinker because he was "too square"."

It's lucky the flaccid member for parliament isn't credible otherwise I'd be annoyed by this message.

"In retrospect, I didn't do drugs and drink because I was square". Nice messaging Millibrain.

"This followed a GQ interview in 2008 in which Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg suggested he had slept with "no more than 30" women."

eek

First Lembit and now Clegg, do women find Lib Dems irresistible?

Queue the famous picture - Lib Dem women are a mixed blessing I'd say. Some of them are female and do have the necessary 'functionality' but you'd be safer looking after your own needs.

It's 'cue', unless you are planning on lining up multiple copies of said picture...

Anybody else thinking that a potential Prime Minister should be married if he and his partner have children?

Do you not think it sends out the wrong message when he will be in high level meetings with people from other cultures that consider it very important, and how it may reflect upon our society.

/cynical head on : What odds would I get on him getting married just before the next election in order to gain a few more female voters. /cynical head off.

Fair play to him - he realised that as a married couple the Labour government was out to get you. I'm sure he's better off for the decision. Although this bit made me laugh:

"He insisted he would eventually wed Ms Thornton, but added: "The more people challenge me on it from a political standpoint, the more resistant I will become.

"We'll get married because we want to get married and love each other very much, no other reason."

So he'll delay because people keep asking him - yep - steadfast and mature thinking that. And he'll marry her because he loves her (or when he loves her I presume given the delay).

So you don't think he will use it as an election tool then?

Not really, no.

Would be quite amusing to see this happen, the uncomfortably questions that'd arise in the run up to the wedding would be interesting to watch.

He'll need every tool in his armoury including his brother who's a right tool.

how does it reflect on our society? Aren't half of all children now born out of wedlock? He's not particularly handsome either, should we send him to get some work done before the Iranian foreign minister thinks we're all ugly??

How did you feel about us sending Thatcher out to face more patriarchal cultures?
