That's surprising. He's such a shy and retiring chap normally.

I don't get it. He wants Europe 'out of our lives' but he castigates them for not stopping countries from getting into debt. Sounds like having your cake to me

I like Farage, at least he has the cahoonas to stand up and tell that lot what a bunch of money wasting, nannying control freaks they are... which is more than any of our current bunch of subservient MP's have.

I believe the borader point he makes on this issue is that, in the first instance, some countries budgetary and fiscal controls (or lack of) should have precluded them from membership in the first place. That they didn't makes the EU's governance questionable at best and downright corrupt at worst. Google the words "Goldman+Sachs+Greek+debt" to see how that problem was warehoused swept under the carpet in plain view of EU 'officials'.

One within the EU, controls should then have been imposed but were not.

I think, if you knew your stuff, you'd find it is the Eurocrats who wish to have their cake (and gravy train) and eat it.

Fiscal probity suggestion from a bloke who milked the EU for millions of pounds.

Well, he should know then.

The whole EU thing is about unelected people telling us how we should live our lives and exerting power over us, while seizing more power and wealth for themselves.

I think it's funny that most people still think we have a sovereign parliament. Instead we have one that is in it's final throes prior to dissolving between 2013 and 2020 into a bunch of regional assemblies, except you ain't been told yet.

You read it here first. frown

You mean he has taken the standard MEP package? Can you blame him? At least he tries to advertise the facts of MEP renumeration to the public.

Most of which went direct to run his office and never went near his own accounts.

I've just been reading the site which this thread is linked too and I think there is only one way to describe those folk 'BRAIN WASHED'!

Sheesh 95% of the posters repeat the same tripe over and over. It's just painful to read, everyone saying the same things over and over with no free thinking.
