Oh what the hell. This is ridiculous.
I've seen people get off from almost beating someone to death with a tagging and a £50 fine.

Serves him right. Now, would you say this was a bigger crime and due some time?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1324802/Th...

I certainly would. Cocky little tw@ I suppose he did plead guilty, but is he really sorry? The fact he'd want do this to anyone in this manner is beyond me.

"Unemployed Coss was only caught when he sent residents on his street photos of himself saying he was an internet "troll"."

Why would you do that?

The court system is a bit of a joke.
Guy in original story deserved a slap on the wrists, imo. The guy in your story deserves a good few months minimum.

The fact that his mates were filming it on their phones tells me all I need to know about how totally out of character and unintentional the beating was.

That the judge didn't send him down is an utter disgrace.

Attention whoring perhaps. Or just mentally disturbed?

Not sure how to feel.
On one hand the murdered fella was obviously an absolute cretin.
On the other hand that was premeditated murder in my books.
If he had the knife in his hands as he got to the front door, it wouldn't have been. But he seemingly saw the piss coming through the letter box, went to the kitchen and got a knife, opened the door and stabbed the chav to death.

Pretty brutal and in no way deserved imo.
Surely a much funnier and a lot less murderous way to deal with this would be a broom handle through the letterbox at light speed.

I'll assume you haven't read the full details, given that the alternative is that you're a completely callous tt.

How would you feel if your child was killed in a dog attack and you'd set up a memorial site for them only to find someone posting in the comments section saying they'd fked your child's dead corpse?

Freedom of speech has boundaries, and rightly so.

I wouldn't put up a public memorial page because I'm not a moron.

Freedom of speech to say something is one thing, but you will dealt with by the law or by the people having to listen to it if you say something sick, illegal or abusive. You don't have freedom of speech on the internet because you are not speaking, you are typing and the written word is longer lasting than a brief moment of stupidity. There is nothing to stop you posting but that is as far as the freedom goes because if it is sick, inflammatory, naming and shaming or just abusive they will be dealt with either by removal or legal action. Much like this idiot on the news story. That's why all serious internet forums are moderated and most web page comments sections monitored.

Hmmm. There's freedom of speech and there's verbal abuse. And then there's this, which tops even facebook memorial pages IMO:

No, just autistic by the sound of it.

Maybe you'd like to pop along to your local branch of the RBL next month and tell them they're all morons for laying wreaths at public memorials?
