So, how much can you save?

I cut £50.35bn without being too unreasonable (in my opinion) hehe

Some interesting things here though - would privatising 10% of the roads and introducing road charging really raise £75bn?

The problem is you can't make cuts and reduces taxes. Stupid toy won't let me abolish the welfare state and return huge amounts of tax so people can make their own arrangements.

£147.4bn saved.

It would've been less but they don't let you increase any spending where necessary, only cut it.

Its easy to cut welfare, the problem is what happens after

Are you to let thousands of children die of poverty?

Alarmist rubbish, certainly didn't happen before the creation of the welfare state did it.

Families with a low tax burden could look after their own children and could make their own provision for ill health and unemployment via friendly societies.

Only its not as alarmist as you are making out. We are living in a different world to the one before the welfare state.

If welfare was pretty much shut off along with ohter cuts you would have lots of people with no income and unable to get a job due to a lack of skills - thats on top of job losses due to the general cuts we will be having anyway and the recession.

There are so many people so dependent on the welfare state now that without it some could literally not survive.

401.7 Billion I've managed, you'd probably be quite annoyed if you were a schoolchild, retired, poor, Welsh or Scottish.

The NHS and defence are pretty much untouched though.

Starting to think my talents are wasted.

science grants are quite important for training people in order to maintain the economy as competitive globally in technical industries. e.g. chemistry contributes £500 billion to the UK.

How much!!! £500 billion is an awful lot of money, especially considering the government currently 'only' spends about £670 billion.

£184 billion saved here, would have been more but they only let me cut 75% from some budgets.

£90bn of saving, and I wouldn't have lost a single Tory voter.

Hate the way it says "scrap projects". No, I don't want to scrap a project, I want the departments to make considerable savings.

BTW, you do realise the Guardian are tracking the data you give them?
