Nice.

Especially this bit..

"The surgery is normally carried out on the NHS but as Kade is a foreign national she doesn't qualify for free healthcare.

Instead the Spire Murrayfield hospital offered its facilities and the surgical team worked for free."

Next time someone bleats about cuts in the NHS, show them that.

Yep, especially when I am denied treatment because of budget restraints.

Understand.

Yes. Because if you are partially deaf you have to beg.

Excellent reportage.

Meanwhile the waiting lists for cancer treatment for British people who've paid tax an NI their whole lives get longer and longer and longer.

Perhaps the president of her country could sell one of his Mercs to fund it, eh?

Yes and nothing to do with the NHS, but still let us all get angry.

In addition to the private hospital staff donating their time by waiving the £50,000 fee, the Addisons also raised the £10,000 for the Bone Anchored Hearing Aid themselves.

The only public sector involvement here was red tape and then nearly kicking her out of the country when the operation was delayed.
