Firstly, I would challenge most people to recognise who she was, even if she was stood in front of them with a microphone in her hand singing "Freak like Me".

Secondly, I'd say a lot of people fear for their own safety when taking a late night bus in London, whether they're in a forth-rate clapped out pop group or not.
