But a far better bet than either of them. Seems the boy isn't all that dumb.

What does a former postman and trade union official know about running one of the largest economies in the world?

No doubt the answer to this is that he will know just as much as a man whose only real job has been data entry for the NHS.

No wonder we're in such a fking mess. frown

If Balls had got the job he might as well have painted a great big target on his forehead, he was pulling Winky's strings at the Treasury for ten years.

Yvette Cooper as Shadow Foreign Scretary - good job she's not the real one as her patronising and "faux sincere" atitude would have every country she visited declaring war on us within hours of her departure.

Seriously?!!

I think not, he may have provided Gordon with some light entertainment with his fiscal intelligence. That is all.

The media’s obsession with the labour party is now really beginning to grate. WTF cares, in the real world, who has what post in an opposition party - especially so when it was these very people who were too scared to say boo to a goose when Brown was destroying the UK?

Again, despite it being the Tory party conference, we are led to believe that we are still being run [to the ground and beyond], by the media’s labour friends and family! Is this why labour are always artificially high profile?

She should be breakfast lunch and dinner for Hague, or Camoron. Hopefully Hague has got the recent press intrusion out of his system.

Probably more qualified than the small town soliciter who had the job before him.

Sure, and Fee-owner Frillylips guesting on the R2 spouting lefty crap was the last straw.

Anybody would think a bunch of Labour losers still matter.

It also seems that a teacher has been 'suspended' for giving a speach at the Tory Party Conference - for telling the truth! http://archbishop-cranmer.blogspot.com/2010/10/tea...
and http://dizzythinks.net/2010/10/dr-irene-bishop-now...

Every time I see Alan Johnson he comes across to me as if he is a member of the Croydon Chamber of Commerce and that should be his limit.
