I've had a quick peek and can't see this story anywhere (so sorry if it's a repost)

After nipping into the local post office, I noticed The Daily Star's headline 'Sponger's £4,500 boob job on benefits' and just had to have a nosey at the story.

As a single mum, with 3 jobs I seriously can't believe scummy bhes like this get away with it for so bloody long furious

She's just benefiting from public support and was honest enough to make a clean breast of it.

Just noticed her and I are of similar vintage. Even as a hairy arsed mud-plugger, who spends most of his time working outdoors, I know I look younger, fitter, and more pleasant than her.

The phrase "You can't polish a turd" and "Wasted Money" springs to mind.

They've been on 2 foreign holidays this year!!! I've worked since I left College (and I worked while I was there too) 6 years ago. In a couple of weeks I'll take my first foreign holiday since 2007.
Whoever set up the system she is taking advantage of should be ashamed of themselves.

That family are living better than most, honest hard working decent people.

"Brazen Kelly grabs £870 a month in housing benefit, £975 in child tax credit, £260 in income support and £303 in child benefits, giving her a income of £29,000 a year."

Well then, the new rules putting a cap on benefits have found one worthy target!!!

I wonder if this "newspaper" piece is all strictly true. On the one hand I can easily believe people like this exist, on the other hand this woman and her whole setup seems a bit cartoonish, almost as if it was designed to wind people up.

Being as I've basically paid for them, does that mean I'm entitled to have a go on them?

I don't know how benefits work, but do you have to pay income tax on them? Cos if not then to get £29kPA net, you'd need to earn about £48k!!

How can this be right? How can this be fair?
I work bloody hard to save up so I can start a family, and she's 'earning' more than me for doing nothing.

It's ok though, the child benefit she receives is much better spent than ours. That's why they're taking ours away.....

No that will be £29k in her pocket apart from housing benefit/council tax.

Ok, I think that news reports could do with making this clear, because £29k is a lot, but knowing it's equivalent to the takehome from a £48k salary puts it into perspective.

They HB may well go to her directly too.
