Note these paragraphs!

"Lothian and Borders Police also said that protesters appeared to have spread an oil-like substance over roads on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

A spokeswoman said the oil, possibly diesel or vegetable oil, had been spilled onto the A720 at Bankhead and the westbound lane of the A8."

Are these fking s trying to kill some innocent motorist/biker?

Complete fking bds. Shoot the fkers furiousfuriousfuriousfurious

Edited to add for those who don't know Enbra. The A720 is the fking Edinburgh City Bypass and is a 70 mph dual carriageway furious

I wonder if they all travelled there by carbon neutral means and made sure they only wore and used items that in no way soley rely on their existance by exploiting the energy of oil and all these dirty man made global warming contributing processes they seem to feel so strongly about...... no? Didn't think so.

Just squinting at the tiny picture, I can see a lot of man-made fibres in that pathetic little protest.

I would have been on the A8 westbound on my bike today if I wasn't on holiday. It could have ended pretty badly. Can someone please explain to me why the police don't go in with riot shields and batons when protestors get as far out of control as this crowd clearly are?

Haha!! I'd pay to watch/listen to a procession of TVRs, Monaros, Jags, Porsches, Ferraris and Lamborghinis and the like roll up to the office.

Extra bonus points for PH stickerage!

ETA what I said on the GG forum..........

Can someone tell me why this wasn't classed as terrorism?

Honestly, I'm a very gentle person but every time I see some fking hippy telling me that I shouldn't do this or that because it's harming something or rather it makes me want to beat them stless with zero remorse.

The ignorance demonstrated by them is astounding.

I had to rip down some anti nuclear posters at the bus stop the other day. You should have seen the fking looks I got.

It was like I just shat on their grandma.

They have no clue how damaging the anti nuclear movement is to our progress as a race. Nuclear plants will be powering our civilisation in the future. There is no doubt in my mind about this.

Everything else has only been invented to keep hippies at bay while we do real science..

Yeah, they dont appreciate the old practices eh!

Hopefully the police/local council will charge the protestors for environmental clean up and safe disposal of the unknown effluent (even if it is only molasses its still going to affect the traction properties of that part of road and is in itself an act of wanton pollution).

If you went around to their houses and poured molasses on their property they'd want it cleaned up at no cost to themselves.
