Sad news coming from Afghanistan today which could finally tip things over. Karsai has apparently just apologised.

Karzai is meant to be part of the solution not part of the problem.

Whether or not that is the case is somewhat debatable.

Very very sad (as is every life lost / horribly injured out there).

All IMHO and not necessarily representative of the views of my employers.

The karzai knows it's going wrong and is desperately trying to cling on to power.

Terrible news but I've no idea how to guard against similar if we're meant to e working alongside the Afghanis

It's very sad, but I don't think it'll make any difference. I'm sure I remember an Iraqi soldier, or possibly a policeman, blowing himself up, and a US soldier in Afghanistan shooting his own troops, and the Fort Hood incident.

Karzai has some work to do.

Nightmare. And not something I think they can ever stop. There will always be sympathisers infiltrating the system, just biding their time. It's like a ticking time bomb.

Why would it tip things over?
