How many more? They are not fighting to make the UK more safe, they are just over there as a legacy of Tony Blair being a complete lapdog to one of the worst US presidents there has ever been.

How long will it take for the current government to wake up?

Even the Lib Dems were in favour of military action in Afghanistan post 11th September 2001 so not sure why you feel Bliar is central to this one. Iraq, yes but Afghanistan was completely different.

Well we have to complain about Afghanistan, because if we complain about Iraq people might realize we may have won there.

Iraq is in a fking mess, no more than two steps away from widespread civil war, we've murdered most of the Husain government based on made up intelligence, 100's of thousands of people have been murdered, maimed or otherwise displaced, we've given every nutter on the planet a fking good reason to attack people in the UK etc. etc. etc.

How the fk can anybody with any intelligence call that a fking win!

Afghanistan is even worse, as by pissing about with that stone age bunch of tribal nonesence, we've also helped give the nutters a better foothold in Pakistan . . . . . . . . many of whom have connections with the UK!

There, look! There it is again! That ever-recurring chestnut of "100s of thousands murdered" that signals to the reader that a bull$hit salesman is about spouting off the party line. hehe

You may want to read it again Jimbeaux . . . . . . . . 100's of thousands murdered, maimed or otherwise displaced, does not mean a hundred thousand people have been murdered, something tells me the true figure will never be calculated or released

The US army were welcomed into Iraq with open arms don't you know? And 78% of Iraqi civilians consider George Bush to be a hero.

You seemed to have a problem with part of Andrew's post ridiculing the suggestion that the situation in Iraq could be referred to as a win. Please continue.

Nope, I specifically was addressing his numerical figure, nothing about his "win" comment. That was as irrelevant as your previous post. Consistency is a quality you certainly possess; you should be proud.

Well, seen as though his numerical figure was indeed correct, maybe you should try applying some of your oh so cherished consistency when it comes to reading posts.
This is getting personal and is hi jacking someone else's thread, so I'm out for now.

Hence my response higlighting that you may have misread my post and stating that IMHO, we will never know the true number of people whose lives have been impacted by the cock and bull stories spouted by the people behind the invasion.

It's OK Andrew, Jimbeaux normally goes off on one when anything remotely critical of Bush is posted on PH. laugh

I have an idea on how to deal with this once and for all....

Both Bush and Blair are sent to Afghanistan to fight with the troops. No fancy security just as another soldier/marine.

As long as Bush & Blair are alive the war will continue. You never know they might even win it.

If Bush & Blair die then immediately the war is over. Army chief meets head of Taliban and Karzai and tells them we are leaving now, you guys carry on with the tribal thing but if you do any of that terrorism stuff to us again we'll be back....

End of problem....
