A 6ft-long boa constrictor is on the loose in a village in Falkirk after escaping from its tank.

The snake disappeared from its owner's house in Ross Crescent in Camelon more than a week ago, according to police.

Central Scotland Police officers are visiting neighbours in the area to warn them about the escaped reptile and to reassure them that it is not dangerous.

The snake, which is four years old, has been reared in captivity since birth and is not venomous and does not eat live food.

That's only because it kills it's food first.

Exactly. When it is outside, old lady McTaggart next door is going to see her little yappy dog become lunch.....

However, it's not going to kill an adult - but I certainly wouldn't be letting young children out to play unsupervised.

I had the misfortune to stay just over the water (canal) from the place for about fifteen years.
It's no wonder they built the new court in Camelon Main Street - an easy stroll for the regular customers.

smile Used to spend sometime there (in Camelon) when I was a kid, near the footie ground so probably opposite where you were on the posh side.

This is clearly the work of Thatcher. Only a matter of time before our Northern cousins blame her for relasing the thing to prey on the poor & children of Scotland.
