It's a shame they can't put a cap on EU immigration, since that is where the problem lies.

Don't want to go too quickly incase goes wrong. The rating agencies have said as long as their key ratio (forgotten which hehe) is below 10 then its fine for our AAA rating. Currently said ratio is 5% and max it should go would be 7% so this year have breathing space (as long as nothing unexpected happens on the world stage)

"Great Repeal Act"

Wow. Someone's going for a place in the history books.
Not that I'm disagreeing with the intent, but every time that name is used will be like a stilleto knife between the Nu Labour ribs.

What is the problems with EU immigration? On the whole the EU immigrants work harder and are more productive in low paid jobs than their British counterparts.

It was the implications of a green investment bank, high speed rail (£gazillions for what?), increased renewable energy (AKA windymills) and no coal thats particularly grim.

I'm confused. The NI tax was on employers payments which is being cancelled and I totally agree. But does that mean it's simply being transfered to be an employee's raise in NI? That article doesn't say way "workers will pay"?

Capital gains was an obvious one to rise although it's stil la kick in the nuts frown

Can hardly come as a surprise with that closet lettuce Goldsmith as one of CMD's closest advisors.

How exactly will plane tax work? (for someone who has little knowledge about the current tax system on flights, I know that if I book a flight I pay tax) But will it mean the price of the flight will increase more than it would if I was just paying tax for me being on the plane?

Should I book any flights now?

If the rail includes both cross rail AND the high speed 2 program (london to brum in 50 min via heathrow and possibly up to manchester and beyond then very pleased.
