Dont flame me as I know there are more important issues in the world!
Took a short 15 mile drive this morning, and was amazed at the amount of massive banners in fields, adjoining the main roads. I seem to recall a few years ago there was a rumpus surrounding trailers in fields, advertising 'cheap tellies' etc and that planning permission needed to be granted.
Does anyone know whether our lords and masters are also subject to such laws as they look 'orrid?

I don't think it counts as an advert.

They pretty much have carte blanche.

Agree with this. Remember reading a thread on here about some bloke who got the BiB knocking on his door because he put a sign warning motorists about pot holes in his garden. First time I saw one of these signs in someone's garden a couple of weeks ago, someone nearly bumped me as they were too busy reading it. Don't understand how they're allowed confused

If I recall correctly, Labour changed the law alowing the countryside to be festooned with all kinds of advertising tat in what were once pictueresque fields. But then, what do we expect from our metropolitan elite?...
