I think he should just shut up about it, I think the policy is a great one by BA. I need never sit next to any bloody kids on a plane ever again. smile

On the Wright stuff they raised it as being single men, which I thought was bad enough... but they asked him to move away from his pregnant wife?

Twats. WTF is going on in the world?

Modern Britain - Every man is a paedophile, every brown person is a terrorist and every child is a victim. Love it laugh

Hopefully he'll get somewhere as it's getting beyond a joke, I remember that Telford council were employing "paedo-wardens" to patrol their parks and interrogate any adult seen in there without a child hehe

When Paedophilia is mainly kept within families, why is there such a furore with sitting next to someone for a few hours . Especially when surrounded by a few hundred people.

What do BA really think is going to happen?

I hope he fks them over.

It is disgusting that men can be treated like this in the UK, purely created by a stupid media extravaganza. Why can't we be like other countries, pretty much worldwide?

When did it start the theory that all men are paedophiles?

The problem is BA are just applying this rule to just men. There are female paedophiles; they are a lot rarer then male paedophiles but they do exist.

Being a hedge fund manager living in Luxumbourg, I suspect he could easily afford to fly 1st, but couldn't because this would have been a short haul flight.

This is just typical BA IMO.

I kicked them into touch many years ago after being treated like a child by their staff for the umpteenth time. Despite having quite a few air miles to use up (which are a waste of time anyway), I don't fly BA unless there's no other way to get there.

I hope he wins his case.

What an utterly fkwitted policy. Still, yet another reason to avoid B.A.

Whilst i like the idea of not having to sit next to a badly behaved child I really an not comfortable with this policy at all.

Firstly waiting until everyone is on the 'plane is wrong. If they have this policy then they should be checking the situation at check in when they allocate the seats.

I am reasonably tall and broad. As such on any flight more than a few hours away I always get to the airport quite early so I can be in the first group of people checked in and have more chance of talking the staff into a 'good' seat, something that I rarely fail to manage to do. So here I am having got to the airport early, spent hours paying £2.50 for something calling itself coffee, gone through the usually scrum to get onto the plane, put my bag up, got out my book, bottle of pop and bag of sweets and then I am told to move because they have put a child next to me? GTFOOT! I have consciously put myself out to get to sit where I am and now because some stupid twot thinks all men are potential rapists and child molesters.

Secondly are they so retarded that they believe only males are responsible for such crimes?

Jesus, not even Michael O fecking Leary has managed to get me this wound up in the last year!

Lucky sod behind me on my bmi flight LHR-EDI got bumped today. He was next to a Saudi couple with a baby (sharing 2 seats), but because there weren't enough oxygen masks he got bumped to 'business' (it really shouldn't be called that).

As a gold card holder I hope to have the seat next to me kept empty (it's a nice perk), but it was taken as the plane was almost full.

Don't worry, I am sure he'll come up with a Paedo-charge for all male passengers

Because of course, women aren't child molesters: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/women-j...

We should just ban all strangers from ever meeting each other anywhere, at any time. In fact, just ban children.

If BA want to be utter cock-sockets about it, they should've upgraded the chap and his wife together, or preferably moved the child instead which would've been easier.

Sounds like BA being complete and utter ing fking jobsworths.

He's sworn to donate any damages to the NSPCC.

TBH I hope BA get fked over for this. They deserve to. A lot. And the NSPCC not needing my fking "just £2 a week" would be handy, although I bet they just buy more advertising...

They could have let him sit up front with the pilot smile

Seems to be a rising trend looking at their bottom line, perhaps there may be a clue here as to why they are going BROKE!
yes

Last time I used BA was to go to New York a year or two ago, I was so impressed with BA's customer service (was in buisiness class!) that I changed to Virgin for the return leg hehe Needless to say, the complaint was in the post almost as soon as I got home, the response from BA was almost as good as the service i was complaining about!
