Apparently next week it will be announced that we are out of recession.

Any one seeing signs of this being true?

The xmas spending probably saw us technically out of recession, however I think the first quarter 2010 will go back to negative but as it will only be one quarter it won't be recession, so the Gubment will claim that we have been saved going into the election.

I honestly think we are into a period of some quarters showing positive some quarters showing negative.

With Labour in power, we are perfectly poised to dip back in to recession!

Depends, do you think we can keep dumping hundreds of billions into the economy?

This feeling is gnawing at me... I'm half expecting something else to happen. There's talk of Greece; Dubai was an issue (is that dealt with?).

We have a Labour party in power who are spending far, far more than they are taking in tax, and it's getting worse. They are also borrowing far, far too much. If you ran your household like this you'd be homeless and bankrupt...

I fear we will see a large second dip in the recession...

I keep thinking this. How can massive debt consolidation work for one entity but not another?

2 words. Interest Rates.

Then things really go to st.

Not a Daily Mail view, more of a realistic outlook on things.

Got to keep it together until after the election.

At the moment, we are in economic unreality and such is that any talk is meaningless. They have merely pressed pause.

Even if we were out of recession, I think the state of the economy is such, that even a relativley minor blip (as others have said, Greece, Dubai etc) or a downgrading of our debt rating, we will end up much worse off as we dont have any resources to pull ourselves out of any trouble
