Despite the lack of salt, farmers were last night warned they face fines if using tractors filled with tax-reduced red diesel to grit country roads. Ministers have refused to make an exception in the law that says they must use only white diesel on highways.

I can't wait to get rid of them either, but there will still be loads of jobsworths left as this is the culture which has been created. The same one which tells people they could be sued for clearing their path of snow.

Wouldn't the world (well the UK) be better without this kind of bullst?
