Watching on Sky - unfortunately, it seems that they're letting him get completely away without answering the question about WMD.

Spineless lot.

Andrew Gilligan was on R5 this morning saying that the Enquiry has no teeth and isn't acting in the least bit forensically. Seems he was right...

Campbell has fingered Brown quite nicely though (ooer)

This panel is pretty bloody poor, not exactly a thorough grilling.

To paraphrase one of the more recent comments on the bbc page, could they please send in paxman, as this panel has no experience of dealing with slick communicators like this.

Oh come on.

Labour obviously saved all the vitriolic and headline grabbing, envious and ill informed sh*te for the enquiries on the Banking Crisis, which may end up turning the Government and taxpayer a tidy profit.

Why should they instigate the same hate-filled witchhunt against those who threw billions of dead pounds and hundreds of dead soldiers into a war nobody needed or wanted on the behest of the US who wanted a bit of oil?

The problem for this lot isnt going to be the select committee if enough of this is damning enough then they might find the Hague getting involved.

If there was no cause to declare war, then as I see it a tug from the hague could become a real possibility for some of these players!
We can but dream.

Having just watched clips of Alastair deadpanning stuff that should make any 'witness' blush...what a farce.

Apparently he stands by every element of the dossier which wasn't sexed up, and Bliar didn't mislead Parliament by using the words 'without doubt'.

Hmmm.

An interesting side issue on this one is the news that an official Dutch Inquiry has declared the Iraq war illegal. Does this mean that Bush and Blair would be arrested if they went to Holland?

Geoff Hoon is coming to testify soon. Given recent events that should be interesting. Hopefully he won't be taking any long walks in the woods before he gets there.

I wonder if we can ask the Dutch to take over this enquiry - seems they have the balls to do it properly.

Blair is too important/powerful to ever be held accountable for anything.

Nothing will happen, ergo this whole topic/debate is pointless.

This inquiry will cost the tax payer millions (the Hutton Inquiry cost nearly 2m).

So not only do these inept politicians take us into costly illegal wars, they then make us pay for an inquiry which has so far given us nothing of note.
