Right after the impact...

I'd want to sink them too if they were trying to blind me!

Boo fking hoo. They've been aiming a powerful laser at the people on the fishing vessel for weeks, and generally being a fking pain in the arse.

Wasn't that some super expensive carbon fibre boat?

I read about it before it was to be launched, I can't remember who's boat it was before though although I read at it at the time.

And of course the eco-morons are now claiming that they weren’t at fault!

Complete cocks the lot of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Etv7V4zdG04&fea... Doesn't bear thinking about the possabilities for loss of life if antics like this carry on. I don't neccessarily agree with whaling but I would imagine that the crews of the whaling ships are normal working people. They don't go to sea to risk their lives but to make a living.

It's a "research" vessel.

Not taking sides, but they remind me somewhat of that kid at school that would delight in deliberately winding you up all day, and then run off crying when you finally punched him in the face.

I don't know if it's the same boat but a mate of my boss went round the world in one identical two years ago.

I don't agree with whaling. But I think this is by far the funniest outcome.

Yes, they are researching how many whales you need to catch to fill the larders. hehe

Do people actually support Japanese Whale research? I'm amazed by the gloating on this thread.

Hopefully the Captain of the Whaling ship will be held responsible for the sinking, quite hard to helm a power boat when you're being attacked with a water cannon.

Watched the video no. EcoDouches boat fires its engines just before the ramming. It accelerated into the whaling boats path. Numpties.

Oh do come on, just how much manoueverability does the Ecoduchess have against a fk off great whaling vessel at max chat? The skipper deliberately put his ship and crew at danger by getting into this situation.

Looking at the other footage linked, they are a bunch of nutters. No matter how strong your opinions, crashing ships is not cricket.

I could perfectly see why the Japs could take up arms too.

A respectable charity like Greenpeace should not associate with these nutters, as that's what they appear to be. Idiots who have lost the plot. Lasers? Crashing ships? fking madness.

Rather than saying "Ain't it awful", hopefully this serves as a warning.

For the record, I am not in favour of unsustainable fishing/farming/etc.

I should imagine its even harder to helm a MUCH larger Japanese ship whilst having a laser pointed in your face.
