GB: "We are leading on electric cars"
AM: "That's not true, Japan is"
GB: "We are investing in Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Jaguar and BMW"
AM: "Hardly British names are they?"

As much as he is shambolic, having criticised him here many times for being a coward, at least he is on the show.

<<Disengage tolerance>>
So which wag put him up to it?

This is a car crash. He's just talking bks and he's goin to come a cropper in the TV debates.

He cannot get away from his prepared soundbites. Asked why manufacturing had declined under Labour he lies that it hasn't and blithers on about leading in offshore windfarms, "low carbon" and electric cars.

He made an unsubstantiated (and unchallenged by Marr) claim that his actions have caused growth in unemployment to be lower than it otherwise would have been.

Useless moron.

A shame that AM gave him the 'get out of jail free' card by giving him the line that the playing fields of Eton line was just a joke.
Pity he didn't / wouldn't take him on those public school & Ivy League old boys and girls in his cabinet

I think you will find the Ivy League is in the USA, not the UK.

Personally, I don't care tuppence where someone has come from
- they could have been busking for spare change on the Bakerloo
line for all I care - but surely it is whether they are tough
enough to do the tricky job of getting UK plc back on the straight and
narrow that matters.

I hate him! I never hated Major, because I could see that, on the whole, he was a decent bloke who wanted to do the right thing. But Brown, I just simply hate. He was obviously simply reeling off practised sound bites that had no substance whatsoever – hell, he was flailing when trying to answer one of his socialist bud’s, Marr’s questions!

He got a very easy ride, and still messed it up! Wind farms, pharmaceuticals, electric cars, wind farms…..good lord, he should have been ripped apart.

No he will be fine

He has a plan

He will take along a life sized cut out of maggie thatcher and when ever he gets asked a difficult question he will point to her and say its her fault

Thanks for the pointer dcb, I was aware and hence my pointthumbup
An expensive form of education.

Therefore a tad hypocritical of McBroon to try and play himself and his gang as the cowboys in white hats - but it appeals to the un / under educated that hang on his every word

Winky appeared in a lot of local rags last week too (www.getReading.co.uk etc). Saying how he'd helped Reading.

Yeah, right...

Who presided over a massive wave of sleaze whilst cheating on his mrs with Ms Currie.

But I do see your point.

The irony of the lefties sweeping in on the back of:

Tory sleaze
Boom & bust
etc etc

What we need are people of moral fibre to lead this country, being able to call a spade a 'spade' & not pander to the lowest common denominator.

Personally, I think that's impossible & we're all fked.

Switch the lights off please.

This is brilliant politics.

Winky is being set up/is the perfect fall guy for everything wrong with New Labour.

Labour's weapon of mass election will be Milliband. He will be the man as far as "the people who voted Blair" are concerned.

I wonder if I can place a fat bet on this biggrin

I must admit, I didn't mind MP's fking each other, rent boys and call girls - I do mind MP's fking the general public though. That's the difference between the tories and labour.

Tories fk each other, labour fk each and every person in the country...

yes
That was what I was getting at; even Lord Nelson betrayed his wife - didn't stop him doing his job though. Labour seem to do the opposite, and fk us all over instead. Any other time in history, the whole stinking lot would be hauled up for treason.
