Apparently died of a heart attack in the early hours of Sunday morning, no reports of a cause yet, though rumours are of cocaine abuse and eating disorders.

Shame for someone to die so young, she was a talented actress and singer too, I liked her single 'Faster kill pussycat' with Paul Oakenfold.

So that would be derivative of Meyers Faster Pussycat Kill Kill Kill?

It would be nice if people would do something original before they drugged themselves to death.
At least.

Actually, I don't think it had anything at all to do with Meyer's original film. They just used a part of the title and words as lyrics, so actually, you're way wide of the mark. But thanks for the input, it was insiteful...

Talented actress, a shame.

According to SWMBO (who keeps up with all of the celeb stuff - thank God for that, right? rolleyes), Brittany was rumoured to have been unable to get any good projects of late due to substance abuse issues. Apparently her husband had a brush with death not so long ago as well. I was half listening to her when she relayed the details as all of these tales start sounding the same after a while. In fact I said to the wife "Wonder who will get her two boys, maybe her sister?"

Wife then said "Not Spears, Murphy - weren't you listening?"

Sympathy to her friends and family. RIP. It's always sad when anyone goes at such a young age.

Don't get me wrong, Im sorry she has died, not nice etc etc etc

BUT surely not front page news- even the today programme had it as a lead article.

Everyday a lot more people die all over the world some of whom will have done a lot more good and achieved more and when all is said she made a few movies as opposed to reaching an multi oscar winning classic status.

Quite right. Now, Rage Against the Machine beating the ex factor bloke to number one - that's news!

It is a shame about Brittany Murphy though.

What?

Do you stand up at funerals and do the same?

Or comment that even though the person that died was great that many more people died that day which are more worthy?

Do you have a deathometer handy to comment on the worthiness of a death? What factors does it measure?

Have you met her?
Do you know what she was like in anyway beyond the media persona? What were her morals, principles, ethics?

Its a stranger off the telly, what you imposed on her in your mind is your problem.

As to your non-sensical funeral line- why would I go to a funeral of someone I didn't care of, do that often do you?

And 'deathometer' remark is just stupid, its common sense to say a policeman or fireman somehere in the world who gave up his life on the same day to protect a innocent person was a more noteworthy first page news item.
