Cardiac arrest at 32. Very unlucky and a horrid start to her family's Christmas

Cardiac arrest? Is there an underlying cause?

[The Sun]I suppose that one could speculate it was drug related due to the fact she was famous[/The Sun]

heard this on the news this morning and whilst its sad that a person has died, two questions sprang to mind;

1. why is this item on the news before death of a british soldier (which swiftly followed)?
2. who?

Answered question 1 by looking and seeing that radio was tuned to radio 1, swiftly moved to R4

Answered question 2 via google but frankly still not much wiser. Actor/singer by the sounds of it but can't say I'm aware of her work.

Sad but true that even minor celebs will command top of the news. She was also very young which makes it sad. Should not be bigger news than one of our boys losing his life though. Am I surprised it does? Not really....

1. Because it's not expected and therefore interesting. Soldiers are expected to die in a war.

2. Famous actress....known by millions and therefore of interest to them. Perhaps only slight interest, but interest none the same. I know when i heard i mentioned it to wifey and we gave it 20 secs of conversation.....cant say i'd bother telling her a soldier died in a war unless it was particularly news worthy somehow.
