The father has been found guilty. I really really cannot begin to get my head around what can make you feel you'd be better off murdering your own daughter because she's dating a guy from a different clan/sect/religion/slightly older.

Another victim of religion.

True. Shocking and sad and demonstrates the issues around cultural difference which are unaccepatable. Is this religion or culture or both. I don't know but I am appalled by stories like this and I consider myself to be a reasonable/tolerant bloke.

22 years isnt long enough. he should be made an example of.

immoral to take a life of your own child because you disagree with who they are dating.
