Just heard that too. Brilliant actor especially in the "The Dam Busters"

He also played a real part and someone else's part in the Pegasus Bridge. True hero. RIP fella.

Oh do fk off... how can that be censored! This place really takes the piss sometimes. Bunch of PC tts.

My Dad did some work for him, 30 years ago.
A thoroughly honest, down-to-earth bloke.
You'd have wanted a pint with him*

• According to my dad

Very sad. Still, he lived respected and his passing will be regretted. He was, too all accounts, a good sort.

BBC Radio 4 News this morning paid a short tribute by playing an extract from "The Dam Busters", but spoilt it rather by saying that Todd was talking to Michael Redgrave who was "playing a senior officer"

Didnt know much about him before reading this

Sounds like a proper gent, Il take a drink to him tonight

[ZR1cliff]

Not if you see it on TV - censored. Very wrong IMO - the name of Gibson's dog is simply historical fact.

Only watched The Dambusters (on DVD, uncensored) day before yesterday, for the umpteenth time - brilliant, brilliant film and truly great perfromance from Todd.

EricMc - surprised you didn't comment? a war hero from the Emerald Isle, starred in arguably one of the greatest RAF war films ever.
