My God it's a breath of fresh air reading Stephanie Flanders' blog on the BBC rather than that wker Peston.

Instead of headline grabbing, sensationalist bullst, we've got balanced reports with a proper understanding of economics from somebody who seems to actually care about decent and responsible reporting.

Well done her, now can the BBC just sack that ignorant Peston and just get her to do everything.

Interesting parents - Peston's dad was a Labour politician and member of the House of Lords.

Flanders' dad was the "Flanders" in Flanders and Swann.

Sorry, I am going to have to sue you for blatant manipulation of my originally correct data.

Have to say I do like Stephanie Flanders. She's a fantastic presenter and seems very well informed.

Peston can be annoying and alarmist, but he's also a character. I'd rather have a character than someone bland and uninteresting.

I expect that's why the BBC likes him, at least he sparks debate and he winds me up instantly, so I suppose that is 'good' from a media standpoint - although my wife is normally less pleased as I start swearing at the telly.

Isn't John Lewis the Managing Partner there? With Wey Trose head of Far Eastern ops?

No, Lewis is with Phil, Maboots and Leggit. The managing partner at FSF is Norma Stits, took over recently from Hugh Jarse.

Better than engaging Wright Hassall in Warwick?

Both got comedians in their ancestry then?

No, I think you'll find it's Huw Janus at FSF.

Hugh Jarse is now with my lawyers Norfolk & Good.

+1

Peston doesn't annoy me per se, until I think about him being Winky's biographer, then I have to go and deliberately break something. banghead
