Has anyone ever complained to the BBC?
Discussion
I have.
They are obliged by the BBC charter to reply to all complaints given to them. So it makes sense to take advantage of this.
After all, we are paying the salaries of the public servants who will look into our complaint and reply to us.
I look forward to what they have to say.
It's easy. Give it a go yourself over a cup of tea and a hob-nob. I feel better already !
A polite, assertive complaint backed up with evidence is what is required.
Here is where you do it:

Complained yesterday re. their complete 'fingers-in-the-ears-tra-la-la-la' attitude to climategate and the horrendous bias they're showing by spinning out loads of AGW-related stories about how 'climate change' is responsible for floods in Cockermouth and the fact that Rich Tea biscuits sag faster than in previous years when dunked in a hot beverage.
The BBC are no different to many other public bodies (eg councils, MPs etc) in that they have to respond to complaints. This of course only means that they will reply to you, it doesn't mean that the complaint will necessarily be resolved to your satisfaction.
Most times you will get a reply which can be summarised thus:
Dear Sir
p
s off
Yours faithfully

I complained to Ofcom once about some Ant and Dec rubbish on ITV.
Family viewing time and a contestant says 'b
ks' when they get a question wrong, which was way before the water-shed, rude and not needed - especially as it was a recorded programme.
Anyway, they finally replied to say that it is apparently fine to say 'b
ks' when it is not directed at a person, but just as an expletive to a situation, whilst young children are watching.
Well not in my house it isn't! They even pointed me to the directive that the government agreed to - just sums up the state of this country in my view.

Surprised. If any of my kids said that (in any context) they'd be off to bed with no supper.Family viewing time and a contestant says 'b

I complained once via the link that you posted. Suffice it to say, they did respond but only with a bland 'off the shelf' answer. Interestingly, they claim (or used to) that examples of complaints received would be displayed as well as all of the complaint topics for each month.
My specific complaint wasn't detailed and neither was the subject! I might have missed it, but I did check v carefully at the time............ Something about BBC bias, iirc
. Oh the irony.............
